Less than one year ago, Planned Parenthood Southwest Ohio (With Nan Whaley at the helm) acquired Martin Haskell\u2019s notorious Women\u2019s Med Center in Kettering, OH \u2014 one of the most infamous late-term abortion facilities in the nation \u2014 and moved swiftly to rebrand and expand abortion in southwest Ohio. The timing was no accident. With the tragic passage of Issue 1 in November 2023, abortion is now enshrined in Ohio\u2019s Constitution, and our region has rapidly become a hotbed for abortion tourism.<\/p>\n\n\n

Planned Parenthood Cincinnati and the former Women\u2019s Med Center now function as a combined operation, sharing abortionists and coordinating pre-born child deaths. And the data coming from the Ohio Department <\/a>of Health\u2019s monthly abortion dashboard paints a grim, heartbreaking picture from these businesses of pain, suffering, and death.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A Staggering Spike in Kettering Abortions<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

In only the second month of the new Ohio Abortion Dashboard\u2019s release, southwest Ohio is experiencing what can only be described as an all-out bloodbath.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Kettering abortions (Women\u2019s Med\/Planned Parenthood):<\/strong>
September: 228
October: 946
(An increase of more than 400% in a single month.)<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Cincinnati abortions (Planned Parenthood Mt. Auburn):<\/strong>
September: 429
October: 422
(Essentially unchanged.)<\/p>\n\n\n\n

And here is one of the most shocking findings:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In southwest Ohio, Planned Parenthood committed an average of 60 abortions every single business day in October \u2014 1,368 abortions in just 23 business days.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

This level of intentional killing of pre-born children is unprecedented in our region\u2019s history.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Why the Surge in Kettering?<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

The contrast raises a pressing question:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Why did Kettering\u2019s abortions skyrocket while Cincinnati\u2019s remained stable?<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Is the abortion business intentionally funneling vulnerable, frightened mothers to Kettering \u2014 away from the strong, visible pro-life presence in Cincinnati?<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Cincinnati\u2019s Presence Matters<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Cincinnati has a robust sidewalk-advocacy community, a consistent year-round pro-life presence, and recently completed our third 24-hour 40 Days for Life campaign. Mothers encounter peaceful, prayerful support and immediate alternatives.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The abortion industry knows this \u2014 and avoids it whenever possible.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

What About Dayton?<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Dayton Right to Life also maintains a committed presence outside the Kettering facility and fights tirelessly to protect mothers and babies. This makes the October surge even more shocking. Why would pre-born child deaths in Kettering more than quadruple in one month when both cities have active pro-life outreach?<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Some possible explanations demand further investigation:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

  • Planned Parenthood\u2019s acquisition created a unified regional network, allowing them to direct mothers to whichever location maximizes profit and minimizes pro-life visibility.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  • The rebranded Dayton facility may now be marketed more aggressively to out-of-state women seeking quick abortions with fewer questions.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  • The abortion industry may be shifting high-volume operations to Kettering while keeping Cincinnati\u2019s numbers stable to avoid public scrutiny.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n

    Whatever the reasons, the trend is unmistakable:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    Southwest Ohio is now a prime destination for abortion tourism\u2014and the consequences are deadly.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

    A Call to Action<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

    The pro-life movement in both Cincinnati and Dayton must remain united, vigilant, and determined. Planned Parenthood\u2019s expansion is strategic, well-funded, and ruthless in its pursuit of increased abortion numbers. Our region has become the abortion capital of the Midwest.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
