Until recently, the group\u2019s abortion pills were likely shipped into the United Stated&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/CBSMornings\/status\/1658829197949784064?s=20\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">through India<\/a>&nbsp;<em>without<\/em>&nbsp;Food and Drug Administration (FDA) approval.&nbsp; In&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.liveaction.org\/news\/funded-bill-gates-abortion-pill-worldwide\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">March of 2019<\/a>, the FDA sent a&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.fda.gov\/inspections-compliance-enforcement-and-criminal-investigations\/warning-letters\/aidaccessorg-575658-03082019\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">warning letter<\/a>&nbsp;to&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.fda.gov\/inspections-compliance-enforcement-and-criminal-investigations\/warning-letters\/aidaccessorg-575658-03082019\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">AidAccess.org<\/a>&nbsp;to cease shipments of the pills to the U.S.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Things to Know<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li class=\"has-medium-font-size\">The FDA has loosened safety regulations on the abortion pill mifepristone, enabling the drug to be ordered online and mailed across the United States.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\"has-medium-font-size\">Pro-lifers have warned that removing in-person visits for dispensing the drug would lead to coercion.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\"has-medium-font-size\">Unregulated abortion pill dispensaries and shield laws have placed profit above the care of women and protection of preborn children.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\"has-medium-font-size\">State and federal laws must be enforced and upheld.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>The Details:<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size\">In early 2025, the Plaintiff allegedly became pregnant with a baby girl she had named Joy. She has claimed in her wrongful death lawsuit that 34-year-old Christopher Cooprider, a Marine who lived next door to her in Corpus Christi, was the baby\u2019s father.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size\">According to the complaint:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size\"><em>Cooprider\u2026 wanted the baby dead \u2014 and he made that clear to [the Plaintiff] in no uncertain terms. [The Plaintiff] responded to his text with a thumbs-down emoji,\u201d the lawsuit alleges.<\/p>\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\">\n<figure class=\"aligncenter size-full is-resized\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"753\" height=\"607\" src=\"https:\/\/cincinnatirighttolife.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/08\/Woman-sues-pic-2.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-34593\" style=\"width:821px;height:auto\" srcset=\"https:\/\/cincinnatirighttolife.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/08\/Woman-sues-pic-2.jpg 753w, https:\/\/cincinnatirighttolife.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/08\/Woman-sues-pic-2-300x242.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 753px) 100vw, 753px\" \/><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size\">\u201cCooprider showed [the Plaintiff] the receipt for his purchase on his cell phone. When [the Plaintiff] looked at the receipt on Cooprider\u2019s phone, she saw that he had purchased the drugs from Aid Access. Aid Access is listed on the \u2018plan C\u2019&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.plancpills.org\/abortion-pill\/texas#ways-people-get-pills\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">website<\/a>&nbsp;that Cooprider mentioned in his earlier text as one of its \u2018US-Based Online Clinics\u2019 that sends abortion-inducing drugs into Texas.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size\">The Plaintiff took pictures and \u201cThe box containing the mifepristone contains a label indicating that the drugs were prescribed to \u2018Chris Cooprider\u2019 by someone described as \u2018L.M. MD,&#8217;\u201dthe lawsuit states.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size\">Aid Access is&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.liveaction.org\/news\/unregulated-abortion-pill-founder-accessible\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">currently using<\/a>&nbsp;U.S. abortion providers, likely protected under state shield laws, to fill prescriptions, and mail abortion drugs into states where it is illegal to do so.<\/p>\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\">\n<figure class=\"aligncenter size-full\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"843\" height=\"728\" src=\"https:\/\/cincinnatirighttolife.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/08\/Woman-sues-pic-3.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-34594\" srcset=\"https:\/\/cincinnatirighttolife.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/08\/Woman-sues-pic-3.jpg 843w, https:\/\/cincinnatirighttolife.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/08\/Woman-sues-pic-3-300x259.jpg 300w, https:\/\/cincinnatirighttolife.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/08\/Woman-sues-pic-3-768x663.jpg 768w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 843px) 100vw, 843px\" \/><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size\">The lawsuit alleges that \u201cCooprider brought the abortion pills to [the Plaintiff]\u2019s house and asked her to kill the baby with the drugs that he had purchased,\u201d but [the Plaintiff] \u201crefused\u201d and \u201cmade clear to Cooprider that she had no intention of aborting.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size\">According to the lawsuit, Cooprider allegedly continued to pressure the Plaintiff to \u201cingest the \u2018M&amp;M\u2019s,&#8217;\u201d a euphemism for the abortion drugs. Cooprider also knew that he was running out of time for [the Plaintiff] to abort with the drugs that he had purchased.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size\"><em>Cooprider knew that he had no chance of persuading [the Plaintiff] to travel out of state for a surgical abortion if the pregnancy lasted beyond the available time for a drug-induced abortion.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size\"><em>Cooprider\u2019s only hope for an abortion was to trick [the Plaintiff] into ingesting the drugs that he had purchased from Aid Access. So Cooprider decided to murder the baby by mixing the abortion pills into a drink and giving it to [the Plaintiff].<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size\"><em>Cooprider texted [the Plaintiff] and proposed to have a \u2018trust building night\u2019 where he would \u2018make us some warm relaxing tea\u2026\u2019<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size\">On the night of April 5, 2025, the Plaintiff reportedly went to Cooprider\u2019s house for the \u2018trust building\u2019 session where he, according to the complaint, \u201cbrought his own hot chocolate from his apartment\u201d and made her the hot drink.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size\">\u201cUnbeknownst to [the Plaintiff], Cooprider was lacing her drink with the abortion pills that he had obtained from Aid Access.\u201d The Plaintiff unknowingly drank the hot beverage.<\/p>\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\">\n<figure class=\"aligncenter size-full is-resized\"><a href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/EdWhelanEPPC\/status\/1954895672949297482?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw%7Ctwcamp%5Etweetembed%7Ctwterm%5E1954897934329274664%7Ctwgr%5Ecc87e490b4be70cd77289f21d7a5e31951692fd1%7Ctwcon%5Es2_&amp;ref_url=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.liveaction.org%2Fnews%2Fwoman-sues-father-abortion-pill-wrongful-death%2F\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\" noreferrer noopener\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"548\" height=\"470\" src=\"https:\/\/cincinnatirighttolife.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/08\/Woman-sues-pic-8.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-34590\" style=\"width:648px;height:auto\" srcset=\"https:\/\/cincinnatirighttolife.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/08\/Woman-sues-pic-8.jpg 548w, https:\/\/cincinnatirighttolife.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/08\/Woman-sues-pic-8-300x257.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 548px) 100vw, 548px\" \/><\/a><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size\">\u201cShortly before midnight, and within 30 minutes of consuming the tainted drink, [the Plaintiff] began hemorrhaging and cramping,\u201d the complaint states.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size\">A series of texts reveal the Plaintiff\u2019s desperate attempt to reach Cooprider, asking him pick up [her] mother but the texts went mostly unanswered. Then she asked Cooprider to take her to the emergency room.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size\">\u201cCooprider texted back and curtly told [her] that he would not return or help her\u201d because he needed to catch a flight the next day, according to the lawsuit.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size\">She then \u201chobbled to a neighbor\u2019s house and banged on her door to ask for a ride to the emergency room,\u201d arriving at the ER at 1:24 a.m., where \u201cdoctors were unable to save her baby.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size\">\u201cBaby Joy died at eight weeks LMP, murdered by her own father,\u201d the wrongful death lawsuit alleges.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size\">The Plaintiff claimed she saw the box of&nbsp;<em>mifepristone<\/em>, allegedly purchased by Cooprider from Aid Access, which was missing a \u201cpill\u2026 from its blister pack.\u201d The suit also alleges that \u201cCooprider mixed the remaining 10 misoprostol pills [in the bottle, pictured below] into the hot chocolate that he had prepared for [her] that night.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\">\n<figure class=\"aligncenter size-full is-resized\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"745\" height=\"732\" src=\"https:\/\/cincinnatirighttolife.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/08\/Woman-sues-pic-last.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-34591\" style=\"width:815px;height:auto\" srcset=\"https:\/\/cincinnatirighttolife.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/08\/Woman-sues-pic-last.jpg 745w, https:\/\/cincinnatirighttolife.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/08\/Woman-sues-pic-last-300x295.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 745px) 100vw, 745px\" \/><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Why It Matters:<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size\">The Plaintiff\u2019s attorney, Jonathan Mitchell, noted in the lawsuit that defendants \u201cAid Access and Rebecca Gomperts\u201d violated\u2026 Texas statute, which prohibits anyone other than a Texas-licensed physician to perform abortions\u201d by \u201cknowingly aiding an illegal self-managed abortion in Texas.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size\">In addition, Mitchell charged that \u201cDefendants Aid Access and Rebecca Gomperts also violated chapter 245 by aiding an illegal self-managed abortion in Texas that took place outside a licensed abortion facility,\u201d further claiming that all the defendants \u201cviolated 18 U.S.C. \u00a7\u00a7 1461\u20131462,\u201d the&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.liveaction.org\/news\/federal-law-prohibit-abortion-drugs-mail-enforced\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">federal Comstock Act<\/a>, by \u201cusing the mails, an express company, a common carrier, or an interactive computer service to mail, carry or deliver abortion-inducing drugs.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size\">The lawsuit adds, \u201cArticles 4512.1\u20134512.6 of the Texas Revised Civil Statutes make abortion a felony criminal offense unless the life of the mother is endangered.
