Planned Parenthood will continue to operate three other facilities in the same county \u2014 Old Brooklyn, Rocky River, and Bedford Heights \u2014 in addition to facilities in the cities of Akron, Canton, and Kent.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size\">\u201cPlease know that we are always looking for ways to cover health care expenses for those in need. All patients received notice of the Cleveland Health Center\u2019s closure, and we have worked to reschedule appointments at one of our three health centers in Cuyahoga County or through the Virtual Health Center,\u201d Wilson-Domer wrote. \u201cWe will continue to reach out to patients and be here for them, no matter what.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size\">Of the direct Title X family planning funding recipients in the U.S., 90% are&nbsp;<em>not<\/em>&nbsp;Planned Parenthood facilities. Just nine out of 86 Title X grant recipients for 2024 were Planned Parenthood businesses, highlighting that women and families will not be left without health care options if the abortion giant is defunded.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size\">As Live Action News\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.liveaction.org\/news\/defund-planned-parenthood-defrauding-women\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">previously reported<\/a>, \u201cWomen will not be harmed if Planned Parenthood is defunded; the abortion corporation serves just\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.liveaction.org\/news\/top-myths-debunked-planned-parenthood\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">two percent<\/a>\u00a0(2%) of all women of reproductive age in the United States, and its facilities\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.liveaction.org\/news\/reject-planned-parenthood-cashing-in-taxpayers-expense\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">are outnumbered 25 to 1<\/a>\u00a0by Federally Qualified Health Centers (FQHCs), which can give low-income women the health care they and their children need \u2014\u00a0<em>without<\/em>\u00a0killing their preborn children.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">The Backstory:<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size\">In March, after beginning his second term, Trump&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.politico.com\/news\/2025\/03\/31\/trump-admin-cuts-tens-of-millions-from-planned-parenthood-00261763\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">announced<\/a>&nbsp;Title X family planning funding would be temporarily withheld, giving organizations 10 days to agree to comply with the administration\u2019s executive orders. Nine Planned Parenthood state affiliates received notices stating that the funding was being \u201ctemporarily withheld\u201d due to \u201cpossible violations\u201d of federal civil rights laws and Trump\u2019s diversity, equity and inclusion&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.govinfo.gov\/content\/pkg\/DCPD-202500118\/pdf\/DCPD-202500118.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">executive order<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size\">During his first term, Trump\u2019s administration removed Title X funding from health facilities that referred patients for abortions or committed abortions, requiring that the money and facilities associated with abortions be kept financially separate from those of health care services. All participating Planned Parenthood affiliates quit the Title X program as a result before former President Biden reinstated funding during his term in office.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">The Bottom Line:<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size\">Planned Parenthood has&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.liveaction.org\/news\/planned-parenthoods-abuses-piling-up\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">committed<\/a>&nbsp;acts of fraud, racism and discrimination, and failed to report child sexual abuse. Meanwhile, FQHCs that offer women\u2019s health services and do not commit abortions outnumber Planned Parenthood facilities.
