Weekly Update – Week Five<\/p>\n\n\n\n

DEFUND PLANNED PARENTHOOD RALLY – CLOSING DAY PRAYER OF THANKSGIVING<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Along with at least 80 other locations around the country, we held a Defund Planned Rally on Tuesday, April 2. The rallies were sponsored by Pro-Life Action League of Chicago and Citizens for a Pro-Life Society in Michigan. The national 40 Days for Life campaign encouraged locations to take part. There were between 80 and 90 participants who held \u201cDefund Planned Parenthood\u201d signs as well as other pro-life messages.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Dr. Art Kunath was our MC and he introduced seven different speakers who highlighted various reasons why Planned Parenthood needs to be defunded. A videographer from Channel 12 a local channel spent a good amount of time recording the event, but didn’t speak to anyone. Of course, he had to get the PP director’s side of the story. She gave him the usual “health care” lines.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

CLOSING DAY PRAYER OF THANKSGIVING \u2013 SUNDAY, APRIL 13 \u2013 2PM<\/strong>
Starting at Holy Name Church parking lot (you may park there), we process to Planned Parenthood while praying the\u00a0Way of the\u00a0Cross\u00a0for Victims of Abortion,<\/em>\u00a0concluding the Stations and the rest of the program there. Fr. Matt Cushing will lead prayers and speak. There will be an update on the state of pro-life issues in the tri-state area and nationally and information about continuing prayer witness with 40 Days for Life 365. Seven men will be asked to carry placards of the stations as we process.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
