There is nothing more powerful than God—He is the Alpha and the Omega.

We are living under the reign of an ungodly government that attempts to declare itself God in word and deed at every turn.

Jesus came to Earth in the fanfare of palm leaves, on the back of a donkey, and the lowliness of a manger.

In sharp contrast today, the streets of Chicago were swept clean before our government limos could sweep in for the Democratic National Convention (DNC).

The realities of crime-ridden streets and failed policies had to be neatly tucked away before the ungodly Party favors could be passed out.

This year, the DNC came with free mobile vasectomies, “morning after” pills, and abortion pills, courtesy of Planned Parenthood.

Similarly, our own Planned Parenthood on Auburn Avenue has made us a destination state for abortion, as well as vasectomies and hormone therapy for transitioning Cincinnatians and out- of-state travelers.

Earlier this year, Harris made the rounds on her ungodly national abortion tour.

So we watched the highest levels of our government be ushered in through the front doors of abortion providers, while unsightly pieces of destroyed life are wheeled out in biohazard containers through the back.

This is all in line with the approved Democratic Party platform, which continues to prioritize extremist expansions of the abortion industry across the nation.

I know this is national politics, not local.

But one year ago, the ungodly pro-abortion push on the national stage came a lot closer to home with the passage of November Issue One.

For the past year, we have watched warnings to the state of Ohio come true— and now, just as we predicted at Right to Life of Greater Cincinnati (RTLGC)—the ACLU and abortion industry attorneys are fighting to end protective measures for Ohio women…

As an attorney and an advocate for life, let me tell you a bit about this lawsuit:

The abortion industry wants to legally end consent measures that provide women with medical information on abortion.

The abortion industry opposes guaranteed in-person access to a doctor prior to abortion.

As we already know—when it comes to the abortion industry—information, truth, and time is the enemy of deception, and profits.

So the abortion industry fought to end the 24-hour waiting periods, which placed necessary time and distance in the way of the devastation and expense of abortion.

What’s next?

Many in Washington D.C. and Columbus, OH thought that losing Issue 1 might make sure that you and I shut up for good.

But we are just getting started.

In February of this year, I wrote to you all in a newsletter article titled “Untouchable,” discussing why Right to Life of Greater Cincinnati would be withdrawing from the Primary endorsement process. In a principled and strategic decision, we made the choice to withdraw from the cycle, to watch and wait as an organization—to see if Columbus and D.C. would continue to disappoint us, use babies for bargaining chips, and usher us into political irrelevancy.

We wanted to strengthen our Political Action Committee (PAC), and showcase the value and legacy of our coveted endorsement. We wanted to truly vet Ohio’s candidates for you as the trusted ears and eyes of our volunteers, donors, and supporters.

We came together with a groundbreaking process for November.

It was going to require a huge investment of time for those of us in leadership, a lot of patience and coordination from Laura, and a break from precedence in the history of our endorsement process…

To truly know a candidate, you probably need to walk a mile in their shoes—or at least be in the same room with them.

I wanted in-person interviews.

For the Cincinnati Right to Life PAC, it was time for an endorsement process that was even more precise, personal, and sought after by potential officeholders.

Here’s how it works:

Every candidate received a letter by mail describing the process and inviting them to sign up for an interview time and date at the link provided. No survey questions were provided ahead of time, and our survey questions were kept private, hard copy only with no electronic distribution. Candidates were not permitted to leave the room with the hard copy. Candidates were not permitted to contact advisors for answers during the interview.

This protective process created a safe space for honest answers, protected the Candidates from skewed media coverage, and gave our diverse and talented Executive Board a front row seat to the leaders of tomorrow.

During the interviews, candidates were not only placed on the “hot seat” for questions on Life Ethics and campaign contributions, they were also granted an invaluable teaching moment with us to understand the issues. Judges, of course, received much different questions tailored to their judicial philosophy, jurisprudence, and understanding of the Constitution.

We were harder on candidates than we have ever been.

It was not our goal to discourage our allies, but to hold them accountable to YOU. We know that many candidates who succeed in lower races go on to pursue greater leadership as their career unfolds.

I can say without hesitation that Ohio women, children, and families can have a bright future with many of these candidates in office.

For those Candidates who serve as the gold standard in word and deed, we have deemed them endorsed as CHAMPIONS for life.

For other Candidates, we invite them to continue growing and learning alongside us as unendorsed but still PREFERRED candidates on the path to becoming even better advocates… Candidates in this category cannot list CRTL as an endorsement of their campaign, but they may share their status with their supporters as the Preferred Candidate in their race.

If a candidate fails to schedule an interview—notwithstanding the Presidential ticket—and/or their history and/or answers during the interview leaves much to be desired, we will not be weighing in on their race, and the candidate will remain UNENDORSED.

With these designations in select races, we are excited to share with you our Preferred and Champion candidates for life to guide you in the most important races facing our state and nation this November.

Some candidates and pro-life organizations raised concerns after the passage of Issue 1—what will we do now? What is our purpose if abortion becomes legal? We lost—time to move on?

Rest assured, Cincinnati Right to Life will always find more to do in building a culture, city, and community where abortion is not only unlawful but unthinkable. We will never stop working ourselves out of existence for LIFE.

And it is our honor to do diligent work to make sure that you are as informed as possible on voting day. We will not allow the Life issue to be reduced to a checked box or one-issue vote in Ohio—the Life issue is broader and reaches so much farther than the doors of the abortion clinic…

Make no mistake, when we fight for “Life,” we mean
“life more abundantly” in a city, state, and nation—

Where age and productivity do not determine our inherent worth or dignity; Our elderly and unborn are equally cherished;
Families thrive financially;
Children are welcomed as a blessing and not a burden;
Earning a living and raising a family do not stand at odds;
Law and order keep our streets clean and safe;
Unexpected pregnancies find resources and refuge;
Women and girls are not erased or commoditized, but cherished and empowered;
The circumstances of our births do not determine the value of our souls.

Will you partner with us in providing for our hardworking employees, in training selfless volunteers, and funding our CRTL PAC efforts to create an informed and equipped electorate?

Grocery costs and gas continue to rise, but any bit that you can chip in would go a long way towards our mission to serve you, this city, this state, and this movement…

With you in our corner, this is the never-ending mark we will press towards…this election cycle, next election cycle, and every moment in between.

For LIFE,

Rachel R.
