On Wednesday, Ohio\u2019s Senate voted 24-8 to override Governor Mike DeWine\u2019s December 29th<\/sup> veto of HB68. This House Bill includes the SAFE (Saving Adolescents From Experimentation) Act and the Save Women’s Sports Act. The SAFE Act will prohibit physicians from performing experimental gender-reassignment surgery on minors and from prescribing cross-sex hormones or drugs to block puberty for the purpose of gender transition. The Save Women’s Sport Act will protect girls from being forced to share locker rooms with and compete against boys in school athletics. HB68 will take effect in 90 days.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Every pro-life organization in Ohio supported this House Bill and called for members to contact State Representatives and Senators urging an override of the veto. Seventy percent of Ohioans support this law that will protect children from this dangerous ideology as well as protect female athletes. Cincinnati Right to Life is grateful for the voices and votes of our Ohio lawmakers that rallied behind this bill. Over twenty states have passed laws<\/a> protecting people from the damaging hormones and ideology that has rapidly surged in our culture.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Planned Parenthood is a leading promoter of<\/a> gender ideology, profiting from administering the dangerous drugs to minors and adults. Cincinnati Right to Life has consistently worked to abolish the anti-human work of Planned Parenthood where the prey on and exploit the human person for profit. The Auburn Avenue facility that kills over 3,000 preborn babies annually also promotes confusing minors<\/a> in regards to their gender as God created them from the moment of conception.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Before 2007, there was no extant scientific literature of teenage girls having gender dysphoria in the U.S., said science writer Abigail Shrier, JD.  Today, teenage girls are the leading demographic of persons treated for what is alleged to be gender dysphoria, she said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
