The anti-parent ACLU and supporting groups are continuing their all-out assault against parental rights in Ohio. Despite claiming that Ohio’s proposed ballot initiative doesn\u2019t abolish parental rights, newly-surfaced tweets from Unite for Reproductive & Gender Equity (URGE), a member<\/a> of the Ohioans for Reproductive Freedom coalition, show the organization\u2019s extreme views on parental rights and further uncover their long-term goal to completely cut parents out of their children\u2019s lives.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

For years, URGE has publicly called for the abolishment of parental rights laws:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cIt\u2019s time to END parental involvement laws,\u201d the group said in a tweet<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cWe need policies that get rid of parental involvement laws so that young people can access abortion without unnecessary restrictions,\u201d another tweet<\/a> noted.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cEND PARENTAL INVOLVEMENT LAWS,\u201d said a 2020 tweet<\/a>.
\u201c\u2026parental involvement laws are unethical and must be abolished<\/a>.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

URGE\u2019s radical views don\u2019t end there. URGE supports allowing doctors to assist minors with \u201cgender-affirming surgeries<\/a> and care\u201d and opposes<\/a> laws that would require school personnel to notify parents of their child\u2019s gender dysphoria.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

It\u2019s no surprise that URGE has aligned with groups like the ACLU to push an anti-parent amendment in Ohio. The ACLU has its own history of fighting against parental rights<\/a>. For decades, they\u2019ve worked to systematically dismantle parental consent and notification laws in states across the country. It\u2019s time to take these groups at their word.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Protect Women Ohio<\/a> is calling out groups like the ACLU and URGE who want to cut Ohio parents out of their children\u2019s lives in a new video. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
