Politicians either don\u2019t have opinions on the most important issues or they don\u2019t possess the courage to express them. Either way, they\u2019re in the wrong profession. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

No one says what they want to say, they only say what polls will give them permission to say. It\u2019s like high school student council. They don\u2019t lead the people towards the Truth, which is what you want from your leaders, instead they follow the popular whim of public opinion which is led by the prevailing cultural winds. There is nothing dignified about democracy. <\/p>\n\n\n

Trump recently posted<\/a> on social media:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

It wasn\u2019t my fault that the Republicans didn\u2019t live up to expectations in the MidTerms. I was 233-20! It was the \u201cabortion issue,\u201d poorly handled by many Republicans, especially those that firmly insisted on No Exceptions, even in the case of Rape, Incest, or Life of the Mother, that lost large numbers of Voters. Also, the people that pushed so hard, for decades, against abortion, got their wish from the U.S. Supreme Court, & just plain disappeared, not to be seen again. Plus, Mitch stupid $\u2019s!<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Here it appears the Right\u2019s former pro-life hero and the \u201cgreatest pro-life president we\u2019ve ever had\u201d thinks the \u201cabortion issue\u201d was an inconvenient problem that cost us the election (those pesky babies)\u2026and especially inconvenient were those who dared to double down on their coherent commitment toward protecting unborn human life, insisting on no exceptions (no example of whom personally comes to mind.)<\/p>\n\n\n\n

What\u2019s interesting though is that socially moderate candidate Dr. Oz and absentee father Hershel Walker (who allegedly paid for abortions) did not win their respective races. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

So, can Trump\u2019s theory be true? I believe the reason we did not see the results we should have seen is because we did not run our best. And \u201cour best\u201d that we did run (e.g., J.D. Vance<\/a>) were unwilling to go to the mat over abortion, and instead played a game of extremist hot potato with the opposing Democrat.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
