Assisted suicide goes by many names; such as, death with dignity and medical aid in dying. However, the naming convention does not change the fact that one person assists in killing another. Just as abortion, this is another crime against the dignity of God-given life. Those who support this want suicide to become a medical treatment.<\/p>\n<p>There is a driving force to legalize assisted suicide across the country. While it is legal in nine states right now, it is still illegal in Ohio.<\/p>\n<p>In addition to the inherent issue that assisted suicide violates the dignity of life, it also enables an environment biased against the sick and disabled. Consider, among other things:<\/p>\n<ul> \t\n<li>The cost of lethal medicine for assisted suicide is usually less than that need to treat long-term illnesses<\/li>\n\n<li>The laws are discriminatory, setting up a system where some receive suicide prevention help and other get suicide assistance.<\/li>\n\n<li>It opens the door to numerous medical abuses.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Assisted suicide comes from\u00a0misplaced compassion.
