Supreme Court Justice Samuel Alito in his majority opinion stated boldly and unapologetically:\u00a0<em>Roe was egregiously wrong<\/em>.<\/p>\n<p>This Supreme Court Case effectively overturned the Supreme Court cases\u00a0<em><a href=\"https:\/\/caselaw.findlaw.com\/us-supreme-court\/410\/113.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Roe v. Wade<\/a><\/em>\u00a0and\u00a0<em><a href=\"https:\/\/caselaw.findlaw.com\/us-supreme-court\/410\/179.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Doe v. Bolton<\/a><\/em>, which for almost 50 years, allowed the legal slaughter of innocents across the nation, up until the moment of birth, for any reason whatsoever. This result was the murder of over 63,000,000 babies through dismemberment, poisoning, or starvation.<\/p>\n<p>The effect of this decision in the Dobb vs. Jackson Women&#8217;s Health Organization is that the issue of abortion is now sent back to the people and to their elected representatives.\u00a0 On November 7, 2023 the citizens of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cincinnati.com\/story\/news\/politics\/elections\/2023\/11\/06\/ohio-issue-1-election-results-voters-decide-tuesday-on-abortion-ballot-issue\/71226364007\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Ohio voted by 57% to 43% to enshrine the right to abortion in Ohio&#8217;s Constitution<\/a>.<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t<a href=\"https:\/\/www.frc.org\/prolifemaps\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" itemprop=\"url\">\n\t\t\t\t<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/cincinnatirighttolife.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/06\/Map-Abortion-Laws-Lg.png\" alt=\"Map Abortion Laws Lg\" itemprop=\"image\" height=\"777\" width=\"864\" title=\"Map Abortion Laws Lg\" onerror=\"this.style.display='none'\"  \/>\n\t\t\t\t<\/a>\n\t<p><strong>To find out where abortion is banned, including updates to recent laws in each state, click on the above image<\/strong><\/p>\n<h4>\n\t\tAbortion is Regulated in Varying Degrees in Each State\n\t<\/h4>\n<h3>\n\t\tOhio&#8217;s Abortion Laws\n\t<\/h3>\n\t<p>Ohio lawmakers passed the\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/search-prod.lis.state.oh.us\/api\/v2\/general_assembly_133\/legislation\/sb23\/05_EN\/pdf\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">heartbeat law<\/a>\u00a0in 2019, while Roe v. Wade was still in effect. After the U.S. Supreme Court overturned that decision in June 2022, the law went into effect for just a few months before an Ohio court issued a preliminary injunction against its enforcement. Then, during the 2022 midterm elections, Ohio voters chose to enshrine an\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/codes.ohio.gov\/ohio-constitution\/section-1.22\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" data-saferedirecturl=\"https:\/\/www.google.com\/url?q=https:\/\/codes.ohio.gov\/ohio-constitution\/section-1.22&amp;source=gmail&amp;ust=1740860491346000&amp;usg=AOvVaw12HH9_-sJsFsesBqI30K_5\">amendment<\/a>\u00a0into the state&#8217;s constitution granting women the legal right to abort their unborn babies. In court proceedings following the passage of that amendment, both sides agreed the central portion of the heartbeat law-which prevents abortionists from killing unborn babies with detectable heartbeats-was unconstitutional.<\/p>\n<h4>\n\t\tAbortion Methods\n\t<\/h4>\n<h4>\n\t\tAbortion Pills &#8211; First Trimester Medical Abortion\n\t<\/h4>\n\t<p>A medical (or chemical) abortion is a non-surgical form of abortion in which the woman takes pills containing Mifepristone (RU-486) and Misoprostol (or Cytotec) to end the life of the baby. This procedure is performed during the first trimester of pregnancy. The drugs are approved by the FDA for use up to ten weeks since the first day of her last menstrual period (LMP).<\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"1st Trimester Abortion | The Abortion Pill | What Is Abortion?\" width=\"500\" height=\"281\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/gnEHZiud8dg?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/p>\n<h4>\n\t\tAspiration Abortion &#8211; First Trimester Suction D&#038;C\n\t<\/h4>\n\t<p>A suction, or aspiration, D&amp;C abortion is a procedure in which a suction catheter is inserted into the mother&#8217;s uterus to extract the preborn baby. Tools are then used to scrape the lining of the uterus to remove any remaining parts. This procedure is performed during the first trimester, typically during five and thirteen weeks LMP (that is five to thirteen weeks after the first day of the woman&#8217;s last menstrual period).<\/p>\n\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"1st Trimester Abortion | Suction Dilation and Curettage (D&amp;C) | What is Abortion?\" width=\"500\" height=\"281\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/Hi-Kc5HLHP8?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/p>\n<h4>\n\t\tDilation &#038; Evacuation Abortion &#8211; Second Trimester\n\t<\/h4>\n\t<blockquote><p>A dilation (dilatation) and evacuation abortion, D&amp;E, is a surgical abortion procedure during which an abortionist first dilates the woman&#8217;s cervix and then uses instruments to dismember and extract the baby from the uterus. At 25 weeks, a baby is almost fully-developed and is considered viable, meaning he or she could survive outside the womb.
